The way MYOB’s Does Product Design. Feelix houses the guidelines, components and specification for creating beautiful experiences, consistency across online React-based products.
The task was to create an improved offering, based on feedback from designer and developers alike, across Australia and New Zealand. I was part of a large internal push to rebrand and champion the use of Feelix throughout the business. I rebranded the website with an entirely new visual identity, including creating posters, presentations, stickers and apparel to accompany the launch.
Working closely with product designers and developers throughout the business, I would educate my peers on the benefits of a singular source of truth for all styled components, used to build products at MYOB.

To Maximise the use of MYOB’s Design System — Feelix, we were tasked with trying to unify Design and Development and create advocates inside the organisation .
MYOB created a small task-force to conduct user interviews internally centred around the concept of improving MYOB’s initial Design System and Component Library. Our goal was to understand how we could deliver a better product experience. I took part in uncovering what was important to the Design and Development communities – to deliver something they were truly proud of.
I created an eye-catching style that was bold & transformative, yet easily recognisable and unquestionably MYOB.

The colours I used to create this style were MYOB Brand colours but dialled up 15%, with punchier hues to stand out in a bustling office space. The idea of the 3 Yellow, Turquoise and Purple tiles represent Design, Development and Customers, working together as a whole.

The MYOB way of onboarding new Front End Developers
I was part of a small team who’s goal was to talk to the Development Community to learn how their onboarding experiencer into MYOB could have gone smoother. These Artefact were designed as a proof of concept for how we wanted to create a welcome pack for developers, to make them feel valued, excited and fully knowledgable about Feelix and our Library of React Components.
Maximum Exposure for Feelix
In order to gain momentum and increase awareness, I created posters to be put around the office to expand Feelix’s profile. This worked!
We had developers approach us, and we explained what we wanted to do with the design system, which helped spark in-depth conversation, ultimately making the experience better for developers who gave us direct input into what they needed from a design system.
Internal Marketing Campaign
The goal was to work towards company-wise advocacy for Feelix. A key to that success was to ensure complete transparency in what we were doing, to all staff equally. I helped design an internal marketing campaign to alert peers and colleagues of changes, improvements and new additions to the Feelix Design System.
This meant that any new components were promoted and explained – with clear calls to action to find out more.
MYOB’s Design System, Component Library & Styleguide Design
Something I worked on that I was particularly proud of was designing a concept for the Design System and Component Library website, then overseeing it’s build and watching it come to life.
Not only did I get to design the components, I designed the experience MYOB’s internal developers would have getting the React code for each component, for production builds. Here are a few concept images I created.
